Four Easy Bra Fitting Tips to Maximize Your Comfort
Women all over the world spend much of their time confined into an ill-fitting bra. While bras are needed for style and overall breast health, they do not have to be uncomfortable. Ensuring a proper fit goes a long way when it comes to how comfortable they feel. Knowing great bra fitting tips can make your next fit easy! Here are four key fit points to remember next time you shop:
When fitting a new bra, straps should be snug, not tight. Make sure that when you move around they stay in place, but do not dig into your skin. Straps should be adjusted every time you wear your bra, in case they have moved during wash and/or storage.
The band of your bra should be even all the way around your body. One of the most common ill-fitting bra problems is that the band sits higher in the back than it does in the front. If your bra “climbs” up your back, try adjusting the straps to be slightly more loose and see if that solves the issue. If not, it may be time to be measured and ensure you are wearing the proper bra size. Also, when buying a bra, the front of the band should sit flush against your chest, between your breasts. if your bra gaps away from your skin, it is an improper fit.
The cups of your bra should always lay smooth against your skin. There should not be any “spillage” of your breasts out the sides of the cup. Also, any bunching or wrinkles are an indication that the cup size is not correct. 3rd
If you wear a bra that has an underwire, the underwire should sit flush against you skin, and completely encompass your breast. An ill-fitting underwire is probably one of the most uncomfortable aspects of a poorly fit bra. Also, if the wire does not fit in the correct spot, it can create points of soreness on your breasts. The underwire should also sit flush against the chest in the middle of your breasts. If there is breast tissue between the underwire and your skin, then it does not fit!
Any time you go shopping for a bra, take the time to be measured, and keep in mind the above bra fitting tips, and you are sure to walk out of the store with a proper fitting and comfortable bra.
